Before You Buy Traffic

There are many variables you need to understand before you decide to purchase traffic for your website.

The design of your site - will it interest the traffic you recieve?

The content of your site - cars and work from home opportunites should not be on the same landing page

Click Fraud - You should always assume that at least 20-25% of your visitors are just false clicks, this gives you some headroom. Over $300 Billion are spent due to click fraud alone.

Tracking Clicks - You would not believe how many "Guranteed Clicks" programs are just lies to find suckers who need easy traffic. You buy the traffic, you see your pageviews go up, but you don't have any product conversions. Try to find a service that will track clicks and visits to your site. What would you do if all 1000 or so visits are from the same IP address? Think about it carefully.

Typical Site Conversion - When you normally use a program like Google AdSense or Yahoo Overture, what is your conversion percent? Let's say for every 75 visitors you get at least one product sold, or one conversion. If you buy 10,000 "Unique Product Visits" how many conversions will you get?

Cost - What are you paying each month for CPC Advertising? Typically, you spend $100-$150. What are you willing to pay for a "Guranteed xxxx Unique Visitors"

Are Other Services Running - How can you tell if something is working if you don't have a control test? Turn off all ad campaigns for any CPC or other service you are using. Wait a week and see what your traffic is, now use the so called service that the company is offering.

Is the Company Reliable - Is the site that offers you the unique visitors a real website, neatly designed, or something from the dark ages? Always go with the company that has a more richly designed website.

Better Business Bureau

It's always a great idea to check with them to see if the site/company you want to be involved in has done any wrongdoings in the past. It's really easy to find out. Go to their website here: www.bbb.org
